- Travel Old Princes Highway to Mount Barker continue on to Meadows
- Morning Tea at Meadows either BYO or Bakery
- Visit The d’Arenberg Winery and Cube $10.00 admission
- Lunch at The McLaren Vale Hotel
The highlights of this run is to visit Mclaren Vale which the club has not done in recent years. Its a very scenic drive from Mount Barker travelling through Meadows, Echunga, Kangarilla to Mclaren Vale. Going to d’Arenberg winery is not all about wine and wine tasting. The main attraction is the CUBE. It is an architectural rubiks shape 4-storey building with a 360 degree view of the wine region. It has a museum, video room, restaurant and the cellar wine tasting room etc. $10 entrance to the Cube includes a guided tour +9 different wine tasting. There is a lift in the Cube for your convenience. Lunch will be at Magnums Bistro at Hotel Mclaren for $27.00, set menu as shown below includes a vegetable and salad bar.
