Callington Show 30th October 2022

9 out of 13 cars left the clubrooms at 9:00 a.m. on a reasonable morning. At Callington we quickly commandeered the shelter shed and set ourselves up for the day. We collected our give-a-ways for the Calli-trail, and it wasn’t long before the kids came to collect their “freebies” and get their papers signed.

The first couple of hours were ok, then as warned by Jan’s new watch at 11:30 a.m. it started to rain. By this time most had had a walk around and were getting peckish, so in between showers lunch was bought.

The rain got heavier but didn’t seem to stop people from wandering around. There was a lot of interest in our cars, but unfortunately, we couldn’t put our flags up as Dave’s boot wouldn’t open to get them out.

By about 1:30 p.m. we had finished with the “Trail”, and it was a unanimous decision next break in the rain, we would head out. You wouldn’t believe it, but as we made our way out, there was sunshine and brilliant blue sky!!!

We had had some laughs and I think despite the weather it turned out quite good for the organisers.

Thanks to those members who braved the weather.
