Drive Your Old Car Day 1/9/2025

The first day of Spring is promoted by the Federation of Historic Motor Vehicles SA as “Drive It Day” in SA, to be out and about and seen in your historic vehicle.

We are again going to take up the invitation from the Gawler Veteran Vintage and Classic Vehicle Club to join them at Bethany Reserve; Bethany Road, Bethany on MONDAY September 1st, 2025.

Meet at the carpark immediately up the hill from the Murray Bridge Railway Station on Railway Terrace from 9.15 for a 9.45 departure.

We will pause at the Mount Pleasant Soldiers Memorial Hall for BYO Smoko or buy coffee and/or Bakery items across the road. Toilets also provided. “Hills dwellers” are welcome to meet us there, but it would be appreciated if you could let me know if you are going to do so.

At around about 10.45 we will leave from Mount Pleasant to travel to Bethany Reserve.

Bethany Reserve has a large shelter shed and toilets, but there should be quite a few people there, so please bring chairs, tables and whatever else you may need. There are no other facilities there, so bring your own lunch.

This is generally a very well patronised gathering by other clubs and individuals, so a very interesting gathering of vehicles should be present.

Travel home at your leisure.
