Ladies’ Day 28/5/2025

Please note that this is a run that I hope ALL members will find interesting, not only ladies, so everyone welcome. There will be a quiz that will determine the “Ladies Day Trophy”.

NOTE

Meet opposite the Bunyip, Murray Cods Drive, Sturt Reserve at 9.30 AM for a 9.45 start.

We will travel on the Old Princes Highway to the Classic Motor Studio at Totness. Coffee may be purchased there for $5.50 per cup.

• The Classic Motor Studio has a number of vehicles for sale, as well as garagenalia and other collectables. They state that they procure and sell only the finest automobiles and desired collectables. They also have an impressive display of enamel signs and are also intending to cater for functions, weddings, etc.

We will then travel to Woodside for lunch at the Lobethal Bakery.

After lunch we will go to the Karkoo Nursery at Oakbank.

• The Karkoo Nursery is housed in the old Johnston Brewery, which spans 3 acres and has some interesting old buildings. They started out as a wholesale garden centre and although still propagating many of their own plants, now sell not only plants, but pots, garden art, antique finds, clothing and home and giftware. They also serve light meals, in case anyone is still peckish, and coffee if anyone needs some to get them home.

Return home from Karkoo at your leisure.
