BIrdwood National Motor Museum Run

29 August, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

A run to the museum is planned for Sunday August 29th. Entry is free to all ACCMB club members. This will be your opportunity to view the GMH (Holden) Display; their history and many prototype vehicles such as the GTR-X,as referred to by Graham Hallandal, our guest speaker at our Presentation Night held on June 19th. The Holden display is at Birdwood for 12 months, finishing in December. Of course all other museum vehicles will be available to view on the day. One in particular that we will focus on is a bus that our club owned and used during the 1970’s. In its day the bus had a custom built rack at the rear to hold 2 full size kegs of beer. If you would like to know the full story come along on the 29th and learn about some of our club’s history; or for some members to revisit the bus if ever drove it, rode in it or worked on it.
Format for the day will be a mid morning departure from Murray Bridge ( J.P.Clubroom); Lunch at an Adelaide Hills Hotel – tentatively Woodside/Balhannah but I am unable to confirm due to current lockdown) and then to the Museum for the afternoon. Depart for home at your leisure. I will have a run sheet at the August meeting or contact Claude Minge on 0408 813 436 to confirm attendance.
