PUB RUN 28/7/2024

This year we will be going to the Middleton Tavern, so I suppose we will be actually having a “Tavern Run”, but “Pub Run” sounds better, so we will stick to that name.
Leave Johnstone Park clubrooms at 9:30 a.m.
Stop at Strathalbyn Railway Station for smoko. BYO refreshments or visit the bakery opposite, they have good coffee and buns. Feel free to have smoko in shop or in the railway station park, likely to depend on the weather as much as personal preference.
From Strathalbyn, we will travel via Ashbourne and Mount Compass, to Middleton. This should be a very scenic and pleasant drive. For those not leaving with the group from Murray Bridge, we can meet up at any of these places but please contact organisers to confirm these arrangements.
Lunch will commence approximately 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. Order from menu, good selection of meals, please see menu, I will email copy of menu in June so you can have a good idea what they are offering. Their menu is quite extensive and also includes a Roast ($18) and other specials listed on the day. All meals include self-serve vegetables and salad. We have found the meals to be very good in the past.
Return home at your leisure. The round trip should be just under 200 Km.
Please confirm your attendance by adding your names to the sheet at a general meeting at the clubrooms or phone John or Vicki. Please also let us know if you are then unable to attend as the Tavern can be quite popular and it would be unfair on them to have vacant places that could be used by other patrons.
