Paech’s Farm Museum Run

After meeting at Johnstone Park on Wed October 21, on a cool morning with some very light misty rain, 21 people in 10 cars travelled on the Old Princes Highway to Mt. Barker and then on to the Wellington Road to Paech’s Farm, about 7 kms out. Viewing on the route was a splendid array of changing colours of varying crops and trees and was a great drive.

On arrival at the property, we were welcomed by Bev and Steve Paech with a lovely morning tea, at which Steve gave the group an historic farm review, dating back to 1908 when his grandfather purchased the property.

We were invited to view the memorabilia at our leisure – the homestead and sheds had a full range of items dating back over the years. There was just so much for both the women and men to view and it was enjoyed by all.

Our hosts provided a splendid meal of BBQ meats, salads and sweets.

It was a great day.
