Pallamana Airfield Run
A mid week run that was really well attended with 27 cars departing the club rooms at 9.30 am on Wednesday April 29
The weather gods were good to us with a coolish kind of day but the main thing was no rain and high cloud, this was important for our display later at the Airfield.
Morning tea was enjoyed by all on the lawned area at the Mary Ann reserve in Mannum, and after enjoying the company of fellow members we departed Mannum for the Airfield at approx 11.30am.
Arriving at the airfield we were joined by several more members where Arlene and her helpers served 60 BBQ meals to members, helpers and pilots.
I think a highlight of the day was the two aerobatic displays by Chris Sperou in his Super Stinker Aircraft, a highly modified Pitts Special with over 320 HP in a super light Airframe.
The first display was a tandem display with Chris doing barrel rolls around Warren Stuart in his DebanereAircraft.
A relaxed and fun day with a big thank you to all who helped to make this run a great success.
