JU JUBES / CAMBRAI RUN

VISIT TO JU JUBES Orchard S.A. — CAMBRAI
When – THURSDAY March 21st 2024
** Leave ACCMB Club house – 8-30 am Sharp.
** Travel to Cambrai for quick morning tea/toilet break. 9-30 — 10-15am.
** Travel to Ju Jubes S A Orchard – 6.2kms from Cambrai. (Directions will be given on day of run) Please note a couple of kms of good dirt road will be travelled on when we leave the Black Hill Road bitumen to Ju Jubes.
** Talk on the History of the 40,000acre property which dates back to 1860’s, when it belonged to the Hayden Family.(the original “pug & pine” home is currently being restored by Jodi Miltenoff), the owner of Ju Jubes SA Orchard, along with the history, tour etc of the Ju Jubes operation run by Jody and his son Marcus. This venture will be a very interesting story we are sure.
Please be aware that should you want to purchase a rare heirloom variety, compact tree, (with the fruit being plum size smaller than a typical fig) purple –black skin and red inside will cost $40 CASH. Please note EFTPOS / Credit card facilities are not available due to WIFI being difficult.
Fresh fruit will be available for us to sample & packaged into 5kg boxes for wholesale fruit merchants.
Maybe Jody will arange for some smaller fresh fruit packages specially for us.
** On completion of the tour, we will leave for the Sedan Hotel for a 12-30pm lunch.
** Thursday is “Snitty Day” Beef & Chicken for $15 per serve. Extra topping $5 to $6.
Additional meals available ie – Entrée, assorted mains, sweets at reasonable prices.
** On completion of meals, travel home which ever way you please in your own time
