Cherry Picking Run
Cherry Picking Run to Stella Creek Cherry Farm 10 Dec 2014
15 vehicles (32 Adults and 1 child) left the Clubrooms promptly at 9.00 am on an overcast day, taking the scenic drive through the Adelaide Hills to Lenswood arriving at 10.15 am.
Some Club members chose to have morning tea while others set off to pick cherries. There was an abundance of plump, delicious cherries, and it didn’t take long to fill our buckets.
Those that finished early at 11 am enjoyed their morning tea overlooking the Stella Creek Valley, followed by a stroll through the beautiful gardens belonging to Alan and Merwyn Mayne which was adjacent to the cherry orchard and their home.
Thank you to all those Club members who came to this Run which made it a great day out.
Wishing you all “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year”.
