Drive your old car day 2021

DRIVE YOUR OLD CAR DAY 1/9/2021
On a glorious spring morning, a small convoy of 7 people in 4 cars, left the Clubrooms for a drive through the farming districts of Pallamana, Palmer, Tungkillo to Mount Pleasant. At the morning tea stop at Mount Pleasant, we were joined by two more couples and in the delightful sunshine, enjoyed our purchases from the bakery, whilst catching up with each other’s news.
Then we departed, to travel the picturesque countryside through Springton, Eden Valley and on past Menglers Hill and down to arrive at our destination for the day, Bethany Reserve. After completing the required registration, we were directed to our display position underneath the trees, joining the many other car club groups, who had also driven out for the day, and meeting up with our final car club enthusiast. This took our group tally to 12 people and 7 cars for this outing.
A relaxing day was spent viewing the large number of cherished, well-maintained vehicles on display, chatting with the many other enthusiasts, and sharing stories and memories. We enjoyed a picnic lunch under the shade of the large trees, continued meandering amongst the vehicles and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. Finally, it was time to leave, choosing our own leisurely route, to make our own way home.
This is a truly amazing experience, and if members are available for this run next time, please join us on this outing.
