On 1st September 20 members from the Mt. Gambier Club arrived promptly at 5:30 p.m. for a BBQ tea with 23 of our Club members. Most of the Mt. Gambier members were in their modern vehicles, as they thought it was too far from Mt Gambier to Quorn for their old cars. This was their first day out and they had travelled from Mt. Gambier that day.
The meal was served with a minimum of fuss, thanks to all the helpers. After sweets, the hall was changed into our usual meeting format, the kitchen cleared and tea, coffee, etc., made ready for our “cuppa” after the meeting. All this was done by approx. 7:20 p.m. and we were ready for our 8:00 p.m. start. Several members from the Mount Gambier group stayed for the meeting and presented ACCMB with a certificate of appreciation and thanked us for our hospitality and a great meal.
My thanks again to all the helpers for making the meal flow effortlessly.
