Patron’s Run 6/9/2023

We left the Clubrooms at 10:15 a.m., with 6 cars and 11 people. The weather was perfect and the countryside a picture with the canola crops out in yellow bloom. Ben was there to welcome us, and insisted they blind fold me, as he had a surprise to unveil. It was a beautiful cream sponge cake that we duly demolished. He claims his wife made it for us. Thanks to Ben and wife. I have been jokingly complaining to Ben about the quality of his morning teas, of biscuits, tea, and coffee. I did suggest Latte and sponge cake, so perhaps next time we may get the “Latte”. We then proceeded to the Commercial Hotel for a very enjoyable lunch and then made our way back home to Murray Bridge.
