Patron’s Run Sept 2021

PATRON’S RUN (15/9/2021)
14 cars and 21 people left the Clubrooms at 9:30 a.m. and headed off to Strathalbyn, a cool morning, but no rain. Ben was standing out the front of his yard to welcome us in. He had a great selection of cars for us to look at, all different from last year. He tells me, he turns over more than 40 cars per year.
After a cup of coffee and biscuits, we headed off to the Robin Hood Hotel for lunch, which was very good. The only complaint was, for me, it was too much. After lunch, we went over the road to the new car museum which is now open. It has a great collection of cars, bikes, and memorabilia, that I would say is only second to Birdwood Museum, so if you haven’t seen it, put it on your list next time.
I thank all of you who attended the run and hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Thank you to Terry and June Mabbitt for your help as “Tail End Charlie” for the trip. There were no breakdowns.
